Tools

Mr. Pageau as developed three societal tools. The first one is the management science. This is the main tool from which the two others derive: Return on Societal Investment and the Universal Societalogical Model.

Management Science

The main discovery concerning societies is the fact that societies are a form of social organizations which means that they can be studied and managed. This led to the development of a management science created specifically to help citizens, including civic leaders, public servants and politicians, manage their societies. This science includes its own specialized lexicon which is crucial to better understand societies as well as facilitate the dialogues between citizens.

Societal Return on Investment

The prescriptive nature of society makes it possible to evaluate the impact that different individual, group and collective actions have on the quality, quantity and availability of societal resources. These in turn have an impact on the actions. The overall impact can be positive or negative. If the impact is positive, the action is considered to have a positive societal return on investment, whereas if the impact is negative the societal return on investment is negative.

The Universal Societalogical Model

By understanding the prescriptive nature of societies and the role citizens’ play, Mr. Pageau was able to learn which elements need to be changed and how to change them to improve the quality of a society. From this global understanding Mr. Pageau has developed a universal development model. This model can be used to evaluate the past and the present of any society either as a global entity or any of its societal systemic dimensions including cultural,  economic, educational, social, constitutional, legal or other.  This can be done by analyzing how the four societal resources present in every society are used and the impact it has on citizens. This model can also be used to plan for the future as it has predictive properties.

Citizenship Tools

To help understand the impact that citizens have on societies and evaluate their knowledge. Mr. Pageau as developed the Citizens Footprint and the Citizen Quotient.  He as also developed an approach to define citizen ethical standards depending on the privileged we gained or received as well as develop the first community of practice for citizens.

Citizen Footprint

Mr. Pageau has also developed the Citizen Footprint an approach to help citizens identify the impact their actions have on their society. This tool is useful whether you are a public administrator, a civic leader, a politician or a regular citizen.

Citizens’ Quotient

To help citizens increase their overall level of competency Mr. Pageau has developed a tool called the Citizen Quotient. This quotient helps citizens evaluate their personal, and social skills as well as their local, national and mid-level societal knowledge and skills.

Citizen Ethics

An important outcome of societies’ prescriptive nature is the development of ethical standards for citizens that are religiously, philosophically and politically neutral. The ethical standards help citizens to make sure that their individual, group or collective actions or inactions are compatible with the development of a balance society. Although we are all citizens and we all have the same basic ethical guidelines, the standards vary depending on the various privileges citizens receive.

Community of Practice for Citizens

This new management science helps develop communities of practices for citizens. First, the science defines the area of practice that may be a local, provincial or national society. Second, it defines the guidelines for improving society so that the proposed actions are compatible with the development of a balanced society. Using a community of practice helps citizens gain the knowledge and skills that enhance their social skills, but also their personal and social skills.
